Pairc Sean de Brún
Sean Brown was treasurer of our club for a great many years before he became Chairman, a position that he held for four years, and undoubtedly a position which he would have held for much longer were it not for his murder in May of 1997. He was a much loved family man, a dedicated member of the club and a commited and highly esteemed person throughout the local community.
Following his untimely death the club executive decided to rename the grounds in his memory, as a fitting tribute to a man who gave tirelessly and generously of his time to the benefit of the club and the community. The Brown family name has been synomyous with the club since its foundaton in 1939 both in the executive and on the teamsheet and it is with pride that we continue to host our sport and cultural activities in a place that bears that name.
